Peller and Jarvis are expecting their first child. The TikTok couple announced the pregnancy on Thursday, 8 October, with a joint Instagram post of maternity photos. It came two months after their white wedding and months after they first denied the pregnancy rumours. Here is what they said, how the news fits their year and what is still private.

What we know

  • The announcement (FACT). Peller and Jarvis shared the news in a joint Instagram post on 8 October, with studio maternity photos showing Jarvis’s bump. Punch, The Guardian Nigeria and Legit.ng all reported the post that day.
  • Their words (FACT). Jarvis wrote that they had gone “from two people who once had no idea where this journey would take us… to husband and wife, and now soon-to-be parents”, Punch reports. She added: “God, thank You for everything. This is more than we could ever ask for.”
  • Who they are (FACT). Peller is a Nigerian TikTok streamer and content creator. Jarvis, whose name The Guardian gives as Amadou Elizabeth Aminata, is a content creator who often appears on his livestreams.
  • The reaction (FACT). Other creators, including Tomike Adeoye, congratulated the couple in the comments, Punch reports.

How Peller and Jarvis got here

Peller and Jarvis built their following on livestreams, especially on TikTok Live, where the two often appeared together. Their relationship moved from online speculation to marriage this year.

Legit.ng reports that the couple had a white wedding in August 2026, after a traditional ceremony and a civil wedding earlier in the summer. We have not seen the wedding dates in a second source, so treat the timeline as reported.

The pregnancy rumours started months earlier. In June, Legit.ng reports, Peller dismissed them and said the couple were not ready to start a family. In early October, Jarvis said during a livestream that “the baby is kicking”, and Peller tried to brush the comment aside. Thursday’s post settled the question.

The move to Canada

The announcement also comes during a big change for the couple. On 26 September, Peller posted a video on X showing packed boxes and said the couple were moving to Canada, Legit.ng reports. He said the move was linked to his plans to continue his education there.

That raises practical questions fans are already asking, such as where the baby will be born and whether the couple will keep streaming from abroad. Peller and Jarvis have not said, and we are not going to guess. A pregnancy is private medical information, and the couple have shared only what they chose to share.

Why Peller and Jarvis matter to Nigerian pop culture

Peller and Jarvis are a good example of how Nigerian fame now works. A few years ago, celebrity news in Nigeria was mostly about musicians and Nollywood actors. Today, livestreamers and short-video creators can draw audiences just as big, and their milestones get covered like any star’s.

Other creators have followed a similar path. In our story on Rachel Ojuromi we followed one Lagos creator from viral videos to Chanel’s Paris runway. Bimbo Ademoye showed how much Nigerians watch online when her YouTube film passed 10 million views, as covered in our report on My 30th Wedding. Even games now go viral this way, as with Lagos Life passing 3 million players.

For brands, couples like Peller and Jarvis are valuable because their audience follows their personal lives, not just their content. That is also why the pregnancy rumours drew so much attention for so long.

Online rumours and how to read them

Months of rumours went before this announcement, and some of the posts that circulated were simply made up. This is common with creator couples, whose fans watch every stream for clues. The rule we follow is simple: a pregnancy, a birth or a breakup is confirmed when the people involved confirm it, not when a blog or a fan page says so.

That is why this story relies on the couple’s own post and the outlets that quoted it. Anything else you may see, including claimed due dates, gender reveals or hospital names, is unconfirmed unless Peller or Jarvis posts it themselves.

A note on the names

Reports do not agree on Peller’s full name. Punch gives it as Habeeb Adelaja, while The Guardian Nigeria gives Habeeb Hamzat. We have not been able to confirm which is correct from a primary source, so we use his stage name throughout.

What we do not know yet

The couple have not shared a due date, the baby’s sex or where the birth will take place. They have not said whether the move to Canada is complete. We will not speculate on any of these, and we would ask readers not to share unverified claims about the pregnancy.

What happens next

  • Any further news, such as a due date or a birth announcement, will come from the couple’s own accounts. We will report only what they confirm.
  • Fans will be watching for whether the couple keep streaming from Canada.
  • We will update this story if Peller or Jarvis shares more details.
