Frequently asked questions
What size is best for WhatsApp Business catalogue and Instagram?
A square 1080 × 1080 image works for WhatsApp Business catalogue items, status and Instagram feed posts. Instagram also shows portrait 1080 × 1350 (4:5) images larger in the feed. Both are one tap in the size menu, and the product is centred with even padding.
Why use a white background for product photos?
A plain background makes the product the only thing to look at, makes your catalogue look consistent, and looks professional on marketplaces such as Jumia and Jiji. Light grey or cream works well for white products, and a brand colour helps your posts stand out.
Can I edit many product photos at once?
The free tool does one photo at a time, at full resolution, with no limit on how many you do. Batch processing for whole folders is planned for Pro; join the waitlist to hear when it is ready.
Why are some edges or hair not perfect?
The free models run on your device, so they are smaller than paid cloud models. Busy backgrounds, fine hair and a subject the same colour as the background are the hardest. Use the Soft edge slider to smooth the outline and the Erase and Restore brushes to fix any spot by hand. Browsers that support WebGPU can also switch to the HD model.
Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. The photo is opened and processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer, and it is never sent to Centertainment or anyone else. The only downloads are the tool itself and the AI model, which your browser keeps in its cache so the next cut-out starts faster.
Terms of use
- Only edit photos you took, own, or have permission to use. Removing a background does not give you rights to someone else's picture, logo or product shot.
- Never use the signature tool to copy or apply someone else's signature. Forging a signature is a crime.
- Passport and ID offices make the final decision. Some (including the U.S. and UK) refuse photos edited with software, so read the official rules before you replace a background.
- Your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded to Centertainment. Your browser downloads the AI model once and keeps it in its cache.
- The tools are free and provided "as is". AI cut-outs can miss fine hair or similar colours, so check the result and keep your original.
Shoot it right on your phone
- Put the product on a table near a window in daylight; avoid direct sun and the flash.
- Use a plain sheet or cardboard behind it if you can: a clear contrast helps the AI.
- Hold the phone steady at the product’s height and fill most of the frame.
- Wipe the product and remove price stickers before you shoot.
Pick the right size and colour
Square 1080 × 1080 works across WhatsApp catalogue, status and Instagram feed. Portrait 1080 × 1350 takes up more of the Instagram feed. White is the classic choice; light grey or cream stops white products from disappearing; your brand colour makes a feed look consistent. Add a soft shadow so the item looks like it is standing on a surface rather than floating.
Building a catalogue
Use the same size, background and padding for every product so your catalogue looks tidy. The free tool handles one photo at a time at full resolution; batch processing and saved seller templates with your logo and prices are planned for Pro. Need a see-through cut-out for a flyer instead? Use the transparent PNG maker.
