What is a transparent PNG?
A PNG file can store transparency, so the empty parts of the picture are see-through instead of white. That lets you place a logo, sticker or cut-out on any colour or photo in Canva, CapCut, Word or a flyer design without a white box around it. JPG files cannot do this.
Can I make a logo background transparent?
Yes. For a logo on a plain white or coloured background, the Standard model usually works well. For a flat black logo on white paper, the Signature tab gives the cleanest result because it separates ink from paper by brightness.
Is my photo uploaded to your server?
No. The photo is opened and processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer, and it is never sent to Centertainment or anyone else. The only downloads are the tool itself and the AI model, which your browser keeps in its cache so the next cut-out starts faster.
Why are some edges or hair not perfect?
The free models run on your device, so they are smaller than paid cloud models. Busy backgrounds, fine hair and a subject the same colour as the background are the hardest. Use the Soft edge slider to smooth the outline and the Erase and Restore brushes to fix any spot by hand. Browsers that support WebGPU can also switch to the HD model.
Is it really free? Is there a watermark?
Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit, and you download at the full resolution of your photo (up to 16 megapixels). A Pro version for batch processing and HD cut-outs is planned; joining the waitlist costs nothing.
Terms of use
- Only edit photos you took, own, or have permission to use. Removing a background does not give you rights to someone else's picture, logo or product shot.
- Never use the signature tool to copy or apply someone else's signature. Forging a signature is a crime.
- Passport and ID offices make the final decision. Some (including the U.S. and UK) refuse photos edited with software, so read the official rules before you replace a background.
- Your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded to Centertainment. Your browser downloads the AI model once and keeps it in its cache.
- The tools are free and provided "as is". AI cut-outs can miss fine hair or similar colours, so check the result and keep your original.

PNG or JPG?
Keep transparency by downloading PNG. JPG files cannot store see-through pixels, so if you choose a colour background the tool also offers a JPG, which is smaller and better for WhatsApp and Instagram. For black-on-white artwork such as signatures and line logos, the signature tool gives crisper edges than AI.
