Transparent signature maker

Sign on white paper, snap it in good light and get a clean transparent PNG to place on forms, letters and PDFs.

or drop / paste an image here. JPG, PNG, WebP (HEIC on iPhone Safari).

Private: your photo never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Sign with a dark pen on plain white paper and take a sharp photo in good light, without shadows.
  2. Pick the photo. The tool turns the paper transparent and keeps the ink.
  3. Adjust Strength and Clean-up until the lines are solid and the paper texture is gone, then choose black, blue or the original ink colour.
  4. Download the transparent PNG and place it on your document in Word, Google Docs, a PDF editor or your phone.

Frequently asked questions

How do I remove the background from my signature?

Take a clear photo of your signature on white paper, choose it here and the tool makes the paper transparent while keeping the ink. Because it works on brightness rather than AI, it is quick, it runs offline and it keeps thin pen strokes sharp.

Which pen and paper work best?

A black or dark blue pen on clean white paper, photographed in daylight from directly above. Avoid lined paper, shadows from your phone, and very thin ballpoint lines. If the result looks broken, raise Strength; if specks of paper remain, raise Clean-up.

Is it legal to use a digital signature image?

Using a picture of your own signature is generally fine for everyday letters, forms and invoices, but some banks, courts and government forms need a wet ink signature or a certified e-signature, so follow what the document asks for. Never use the tool to copy anyone else's signature.

Is my photo uploaded to your server?

No. The photo is opened and processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer, and it is never sent to Centertainment or anyone else. The only downloads are the tool itself and the AI model, which your browser keeps in its cache so the next cut-out starts faster.

How do I add the PNG to a PDF or Word document?

In Word or Google Docs, use Insert > Picture and set the wrapping to In front of text so you can drag it onto the signature line. For a PDF, most phone and desktop PDF editors have an Add image or Signature option that accepts PNG files with transparency.

Terms of use

  • Only edit photos you took, own, or have permission to use. Removing a background does not give you rights to someone else's picture, logo or product shot.
  • Never use the signature tool to copy or apply someone else's signature. Forging a signature is a crime.
  • Passport and ID offices make the final decision. Some (including the U.S. and UK) refuse photos edited with software, so read the official rules before you replace a background.
  • Your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded to Centertainment. Your browser downloads the AI model once and keeps it in its cache.
  • The tools are free and provided "as is". AI cut-outs can miss fine hair or similar colours, so check the result and keep your original.

Take a photo that cleans up well

  • Sign a few times with a black or dark blue pen on plain white paper and pick the best one.
  • Photograph it in daylight, straight from above, with no shadow from your phone or hand.
  • Fill most of the screen with the signature; the tool crops the empty space automatically.

Fine-tune the result

Strength decides how dark a pixel must be to count as ink: raise it if strokes look broken, lower it if grey paper shows. Clean-up removes small dots and paper grain. Smooth edges keeps curves from looking jagged when the signature is resized. You can keep the original ink colour or turn it pure black or a document blue, and rotate the image if your photo was sideways.

Use your own signature only

A signature image is fine for everyday documents you are allowed to sign, but some banks, courts and government offices insist on a wet ink or certified electronic signature. Never apply someone else’s signature: that is forgery. Want a logo or stamp instead? Use the transparent PNG maker.
