Remove Background Free, No Upload

Want to remove a background but don’t want your photo sitting on a stranger’s server? This tool does the whole job on your device. The AI model is downloaded to your browser once, and from then on your pictures are processed locally: no upload, no account, no watermark.

Background remover

Pick a photo and the AI cuts out the subject in your browser. Download a full-resolution transparent PNG, or swap in a colour or another photo.

or drop / paste an image here. JPG, PNG, WebP (HEIC on iPhone Safari).

Private: your photo never leaves your device. Nothing is uploaded.

How it works

  1. Pick a photo. It is read by your browser, not sent over the internet.
  2. The AI model is downloaded once and runs on your phone or laptop.
  3. Edit and download. Close the tab and nothing is left behind except the cached model.

Frequently asked questions

Is my photo uploaded to your server?

No. The photo is opened and processed inside your browser on your own phone or computer, and it is never sent to Centertainment or anyone else. The only downloads are the tool itself and the AI model, which your browser keeps in its cache so the next cut-out starts faster.

How can I check that nothing is uploaded?

After the model has loaded, you can switch on airplane mode and the tool still works. In a desktop browser you can also open the developer tools, go to the Network tab and watch: no request carries your picture.

Why does a no-upload remover matter?

Many free sites upload your photo to their servers, keep it for a while and give you a small preview unless you pay. Here the work happens on your device, so ID photos, signatures, family pictures and unreleased product shots stay private, and you get the full-resolution file.

Is it really free? Is there a watermark?

Yes, it is free with no sign-up, no watermark and no daily limit, and you download at the full resolution of your photo (up to 16 megapixels). A Pro version for batch processing and HD cut-outs is planned; joining the waitlist costs nothing.

Which AI model does it use?

Standard uses U2-Netp (Apache-2.0) for any object, People uses MODNet (Apache-2.0) for portraits, and HD uses BiRefNet lite (MIT), which needs a browser with WebGPU and a 115 MB one-time download. All three licences allow commercial use, so anything you make is yours to use.

Terms of use

  • Only edit photos you took, own, or have permission to use. Removing a background does not give you rights to someone else's picture, logo or product shot.
  • Never use the signature tool to copy or apply someone else's signature. Forging a signature is a crime.
  • Passport and ID offices make the final decision. Some (including the U.S. and UK) refuse photos edited with software, so read the official rules before you replace a background.
  • Your images are processed in your browser and never uploaded to Centertainment. Your browser downloads the AI model once and keeps it in its cache.
  • The tools are free and provided "as is". AI cut-outs can miss fine hair or similar colours, so check the result and keep your original.

What “no upload” means here

When you choose a photo, your browser reads it from your gallery and hands it to the model running in the same tab. The pixels never travel over the internet. Our server only sends the web page, the tool code and the small Standard model; the People and HD models come from Hugging Face, the open-source AI library host. Once loaded, they are cached, so you can even turn on airplane mode and keep working.

Good for private photos

  • ID, passport and visa photos
  • Signatures and stamps
  • Children and family pictures
  • Unreleased products, artwork and album covers

Full resolution, honestly free

Because the work is done on your hardware, there is no server bill to pass on to you, so we don’t shrink the download. Photos up to 16 megapixels are processed at their original size; bigger ones are scaled down to protect your phone’s memory. If you need to process many images at once, the planned Pro version adds batch and HD processing. Need a plain background instead of transparency? Try the product photo background tool or go back to the full background remover.
