Announcing a stream, a game night, a listening party or a server event? A Discord timestamp shows the time in every member’s own time zone, so nobody has to do the maths. Pick the time below and copy the format you want.
Discord timestamps
Pick a date and time and get every Discord timestamp code, from <t:…:t> to <t:…:R>. Everyone in your server sees it in their own time zone.

Runs on your device with its built-in time zone rules. Nothing you enter is sent to our server.
How it works
- Choose the date, the time and the time zone that time is in.
- Each format shows a preview in your time zone.
- Tap Copy next to the format you want and paste it into Discord.
- Use :R for a live countdown such as "in 3 hours".
Frequently asked questions
How do Discord timestamps work?
Discord turns a code like <t:1791640800:F> into a date and time shown in each reader's own time zone and language. The number is a Unix timestamp (seconds since 1 January 1970 UTC) and the letter after the colon is the format.
What do the Discord timestamp letters mean?
t is a short time (3:00 PM), T adds seconds, d is a short date (10/10/2026), D is a long date (October 10, 2026), f is the default date and time, F adds the weekday, and R shows relative time such as "in 2 hours" or "3 days ago".
Do Discord timestamps work on mobile?
Yes. The Discord app on Android and iPhone shows them in the phone's time zone. They also work in server announcements, event posts and bot messages.
Why does the preview look different from Discord?
Discord formats dates with its own language setting, so the wording or date order can differ slightly from the preview. The moment in time is exactly the same.
Does this tool handle daylight saving time?
Yes. It uses your browser's built-in time zone database (the IANA database that phones and computers use), so summer and winter time changes are applied for the exact date you pick. Nigeria (WAT, UTC+1) never changes its clocks, but the US, Canada, the UK and Europe do, so the gap to them moves by one hour twice a year.

<t:1791640800:t>short time: 3:00 PM<t:1791640800:T>long time: 3:00:00 PM<t:1791640800:d>short date: 10/10/2026<t:1791640800:D>long date: October 10, 2026<t:1791640800:f>date and time (the default when you leave the letter out)<t:1791640800:F>weekday, date and time: Saturday, October 10, 2026 3:00 PM<t:1791640800:R>relative: in 2 hours, 3 days ago
The examples show the time for a reader in Nigeria (WAT). A reader in New York sees the same moment as 10:00 AM. A good habit for events is to post both :F and :R, for example “Starts <t:1791640800:F> (<t:1791640800:R>)”.
