Seyi Vibez Ilome is now Nigeria’s No. 1 song. In only its second week, the SWAGUU track climbed from No. 3 to the top of TurnTable’s Official Nigeria Top 100, giving Seyi Vibez his seventh No. 1. Six of this week’s top 10 songs are his. Here is what the new chart shows, why Ilome won on streaming rather than radio, and what could change when a run of big Nigerian albums arrives on 16 October.

What we know

  • Ilome is No. 1 (FACT). TurnTable Charts published the Official Nigeria Top 100 for the tracking week of 25 September to 1 October 2026 on Tuesday 6 October. “Ilome” moves 3–1 in its second week on the chart.
  • The numbers (FACT). According to TurnTable, Ilome earned 3.99 million on-demand streams in Nigeria, the most of any song that week, and 31.4 million radio airplay impressions, which placed it only No. 14 on radio.
  • A seventh No. 1 (FACT). It is Seyi Vibez’s seventh No. 1 on the official singles chart. It is also the second No. 1 from SWAGUU in two weeks, after “VOLUME” debuted at the top last week.
  • Six of the top 10 (FACT). Seyi Vibez also holds No. 2 (“GTA”), No. 5 (“VOLUME”), No. 8 (“BACK 2 U”), No. 9 (“Diamonds”) and No. 10 (“Pansa”). All six are SWAGUU songs.

How Seyi Vibez Ilome got to No. 1

TurnTable’s Top 100 is Nigeria’s official singles chart. It combines audio and video streams in Nigeria with radio airplay in the country, so a song can lead the chart through streaming, through radio, or through a mix of both. We explain the method in full in our guide to how TurnTable Charts work.

Ilome is a clear streaming hit. It topped the streaming ranking with nearly 4 million plays but sat outside the radio top 10. That pattern is typical in the first weeks of a big album, when fans stream every track while radio stations are still deciding which songs to play.

Last week’s chart, published on 29 September, showed how strong the SWAGUU opening was. TurnTable reported that the album drew 53.75 million on-demand streams in its first week, the second-biggest album week it has recorded, behind only the 57 million of Asake’s M$NEY. SWAGUU also ended M$NEY’s 17-week run at No. 1 on the albums chart. That week, “VOLUME” became the first song to reach No. 1 on the singles chart with streams alone, and Seyi Vibez filled the entire top five.

The rest of the top 10

According to TurnTable, the top 10 for 25 September to 1 October 2026 is:

  • No. 1: “Ilome”, Seyi Vibez (up from No. 3)
  • No. 2: “GTA”, Seyi Vibez (holds)
  • No. 3: “Oh No”, Rema (up from No. 11)
  • No. 4: “B4 B4”, Davido, Mayorkun and FOLA (up from No. 10)
  • No. 5: “VOLUME”, Seyi Vibez (down from No. 1)
  • No. 6: “it’s over”, FOLA, Bella Shmurda and Zlatan (holds)
  • No. 7: “Owo Oluwa”, Kizz Daniel featuring Young Jonn, Krizbeatz and Wave Choir (up from No. 8)
  • No. 8: “BACK 2 U”, Seyi Vibez (down from No. 4)
  • No. 9: “Diamonds”, Seyi Vibez (down from No. 5)
  • No. 10: “Pansa”, Seyi Vibez (down from No. 7)

Two moves stand out. Rema’s “Oh No” jumped eight places in its third week, back near its No. 2 debut position. Davido’s “B4 B4”, a six-week No. 1, climbed back into the top five in its ninth week.

Radio tells a different story

Kizz Daniel’s “Owo Oluwa” is the mirror image of Ilome. TurnTable says it reached 78.5 million in radio audience, the most of any song in Nigeria that week, but it was only No. 26 on streaming with 1.17 million plays. That combination lifted it to a new peak of No. 7.

It matters because “Owo Oluwa” is a lead single from Radio Gidi, the Kizz Daniel album due on 16 October. It is one of three major Nigerian albums released that day, alongside Fireboy DML’s ZUKO! and Blaqbonez’s NOMADINHO: 4TH PRIME. We set out what is known about all three in our guide to the Nigerian albums due on 16 October.

Elsewhere on the chart

  • Ayra Starr and ZAYN. “Heaven Baby” is at No. 16 in its seventh week. Its peak is No. 2. Its new video arrived this week, as we reported in Ayra Starr and ZAYN release the Heaven Baby video.
  • Young Jonn. “Glass in the Air” enters at No. 64, the highest new entry from his Dear London EP. We covered the run-up to his London shows in Young Jonn’s OVO Arena Wembley date.
  • Victony. “SLICK”, a former No. 1 in Nigeria, is at No. 33 here but remains a force in the UK. We looked at its UK run in Victony’s SLICK and the Official Afrobeats Chart.
  • Rising songs. BNXN’s “Online” climbs to a new peak of No. 13. Ayo Maff and Zinoleesky’s “Malaria” jumps from No. 94 to No. 15 in its second week.

Why this matters outside Nigeria

For readers in the UK, the US and elsewhere, the chart is a good guide to what Nigerian listeners are playing right now, which is not always what travels abroad first. Seyi Vibez is one of the biggest names in Nigerian street-pop, a style rooted in Lagos neighbourhood culture. He has had a No. 1 in each of the last four calendar years, TurnTable says. Only Davido (seven years) and Asake (five) have longer streaks. TurnTable also lists SWAGUU among four 2026 albums to produce more than one No. 1, alongside Asake’s M$NEY, Davido’s Oriade and FOLA’s upcoming 9.

What happens next

  • TurnTable’s next Top 100, for 2 to 8 October, is due next week. It will show whether Ilome holds on or another SWAGUU song takes over.
  • The albums released on 16 October will first count in the chart for 16 to 22 October, which TurnTable is likely to publish around 27 October.
  • Keep an eye on radio, where “Owo Oluwa” leads. Strong radio support is often what keeps a song in the top 10 after the first rush of album streams fades.
