Free creator earnings calculators

How much is a million YouTube views really worth? What does Spotify pay for 1,000 streams, and is Boomplay any better? Those questions land in our inbox every week from artists, skit makers, podcasters and influencers, so we built a set of free calculators to answer them properly.

Pick a platform below, enter your numbers and you’ll get a low, typical and high estimate in US dollars, naira, pounds, euros or rupees. We never show a single precise figure, because no platform pays a fixed rate. What you earn depends on where your audience lives, what kind of content you make, how many of your views or streams are monetised and the time of year.

The tools cover the platforms that matter most to creators in Nigeria, across Africa and around the world:

  • YouTube: long-form ad revenue based on views, niche and audience country.
  • YouTube Shorts: what the Shorts revenue pool is likely to pay per 1,000 views.
  • TikTok: Creator Rewards Program earnings, including a clear warning if the programme isn’t open in your country yet.
  • Instagram: what to charge for a sponsored post, Reel or Story, plus your engagement rate.
  • Facebook: Content Monetization earnings per 1,000 views (Nigeria is eligible, invitation-only), or what to charge for a sponsored post or Reel.
  • Spotify: streams to royalties, before and after your distributor’s share.
  • Audiomack and Boomplay: estimated pay per stream for the platforms African listeners actually use.

Every result can be turned into a branded share card for WhatsApp, X, Instagram Stories or TikTok, so you can show your followers (or your manager) what your numbers are worth.

Where the numbers come from

We built the rate tables from platform help pages, such as YouTube’s revenue-share rules and Spotify’s 1,000-stream threshold, along with published payout studies and creator-economy reports. Where no reliable public figure exists, for example Boomplay’s per-stream rate, we say clearly that the range is our own estimate. Each calculator page lists its sources and the date the data was last reviewed.

Treat the results as a planning guide, not a promise. Your own dashboard, whether that’s YouTube Studio, TikTok Studio, Spotify for Artists or your distributor statement, will always be the most accurate source.

YouTube money calculator

Estimate what your long-form YouTube videos could earn from ads each month, based on your views, niche and where your viewers live.

How it's calculated

  • Every calculator shows a low, typical and high estimate rather than one exact number, because no platform pays a fixed rate.
  • Rates come from platform help pages, published payout studies and creator-economy reports, plus our own clearly marked estimates where no public data exists.
  • What matters most is where your audience lives, not where you live.

Rate data last reviewed: 8 October 2026. Sources: YouTube Help: partner earnings, AIR Media-Tech niche study, Hootsuite influencer pricing, Spotify for Artists, Duetti 2024 report, Audiomack Help: AMP, Boomplay for Artists, Meta: content monetisation for creators.

How accurate are the estimates?

They are planning ranges, not guarantees. Real earnings depend on your audience, content, season and the platform's rules. Your own analytics dashboard is always the best source.
