Audiomack pay per stream calculator

Audiomack is home turf for Afrobeats, amapiano, hip-hop and gospel artists, and “how much does Audiomack pay per 1,000 streams in Nigeria?” is one of the questions we get asked most. This calculator gives you an honest answer as a range in naira or dollars, based on your monthly streams and where your listeners are.

Artists get paid through the Audiomack Monetization Program (AMP). To join, Audiomack says you need an authenticated artist profile, at least 100 followers and 50,000 plays in the last six months. Once you’re in, AMP pays from the platform’s ad and subscription revenue, recalculated each month. Audiomack doesn’t publish a fixed per-stream rate, and the figures you see online disagree wildly. Some are fifty times apart.

So we use published planning ranges and say plainly where we’ve filled the gaps. For audiences in the US, one widely cited guide suggests roughly $0.50–$3 per 1,000 monetised streams. For global or mixed audiences it suggests $0.10–$1.50. For listeners mostly in Nigeria and the rest of Africa, our own estimate is about $0.10–$1 per 1,000, roughly ₦130–₦1,300, because ad prices and subscription fees are much lower in these markets. That’s why the calculator always shows a low, typical and high figure.

Not every play earns money. A stream only pays if it’s monetised (an ad served, or a paying Audiomack+ listener), which is why your AMP dashboard figure can be lower than your public play count. If you can see monetised streams, use that number.

How to use it

  1. Enter your monetised streams per month from your AMP dashboard, or your total plays as an upper limit.
  2. Choose where most of your listeners live and your currency.
  3. Press Estimate my earnings, then share the card with your fans if you like.

How it's calculated

  • Audiomack does not publish a per-stream rate. AMP pays artists from ad and subscription revenue, recalculated every month.
  • We use published planning ranges: about $0.5–$3 per 1,000 monetised streams for US-heavy audiences and $0.1–$1.5 for global or mixed audiences. Figures for Africa-heavy audiences ($0.1–$1) are our own estimate.
  • To join AMP you need an authenticated artist profile, at least 100 followers and 50,000 plays in the last six months.
  • Not every play is monetised, so use your AMP dashboard figure for monetised streams if you have it.
