Young Jonn headlines OVO Arena Wembley after 10-year UK visa wait
Nigerian producer-turned-singer Young Jonn played what was billed as his first UK headline show at London’s OVO Arena Wembley on Friday 25 September 2026, less than a month after announcing he had finally been granted a UK visa after a 10-year wait. He released a seven-track EP, Dear London, the same day.

- “Sold out” is widely reported but not officially confirmed. Several music outlets say the show sold out, and Bona Naija says the Eventbrite page listed it as sold out. We found no statement from the venue or promoter, and no attendance figure has been published.
- The visa news came first. On 28 August 2026 Young Jonn posted on X that he had secured his UK visa, according to YEN.com.gh and Afrobeats Head.
- New music is out (confirmed). Dear London is live on Apple Music, and TheCable Lifestyle reported it arrived on streaming platforms in the early hours of 25 September.

Explainer: why the visa story matters
For Young Jonn, a London arena date carried extra weight because, by his own account, he had spent a decade unable to get into the UK. Per Second News reported that he had missed several chances to perform there after his applications were turned down more than once.
We could find no public explanation for those refusals from Young Jonn or UK authorities, and YEN.com.gh also noted that the reasons had not been confirmed. What the screenshot he shared does show, according to both outlets that described it, is a visitor entry clearance running until the end of February 2027.
The venue itself adds to the sense of occasion. According to OVO Arena Wembley, it holds 12,500 people and hosts over 120 shows a year. It is a separate, smaller building from Wembley Stadium next door.
Who joined him on stage
- Zlatan performed their collaboration “Nakupenda” (reported by Afrobeats Magazine, Afrobeats Head and Bona Naija).
- Blaqbonez came out for “Chanel” (Afrobeats Magazine and Bona Naija).
- Lil Kesh joined for “Efejoku” (reported by Afrobeats Head).
- Harcher of Bullion Records was also on the line-up, according to ThisDay.
Afrobeats Head also described a crowd singalong on “Aquafina” and a tribute during “Mama”, the Kizz Daniel hit Young Jonn produced, in which an angel figure represented his late mother. Bona Naija reported the same tribute and said he played with a full live band.

Dear London, released on show day
The EP’s seven tracks are “Destiny”, “By 4”, “Shege”, “Elumelu”, “Glass in the Air”, “Hold Somebody” and “Ws in the Chat”. The Apple Music listing credits every song to Young Jonn alone, and DancehallMag pointed out that there is no guest feature on it. TheCable called it his third EP.
It follows two albums: Jiggy Forever in 2024 and Blue Disco, which TheCable dates to November 2025. Blue Disco debuted at No. 1 on Apple Music Nigeria, according to both his official website and DancehallMag. From “Wicked Producer” to arena headliner
Before fronting his own records, Young Jonn was known as a producer. His official website outlines the path:
- Born in Ibadan, he began producing at 14.
- He moved to Lagos in 2012 and joined Hit Factory Studios.
- He was named Producer of the Year in 2016 for Kizz Daniel’s “Mama”. The site also credits him with Olamide’s “Wo” and 9ice’s “Living Things”.
The same site claims Jiggy Forever was the most-streamed album in Sub-Saharan Africa and on Spotify Nigeria in 2024, and that Blue Disco has passed 240 million streams. These are the artist’s own claims and have not been independently verified. He is signed to Chocolate City, and TheCable quoted him describing his move into singing as a gradual journey: “I have always felt the need to create music but I was just never at that point of putting it out.”
What happens next
- Tanzania: his official website lists a show at The Superdome Masaki in Dar es Salaam on 18 October.
- Australia: ticketing site Megatix says the Blue Disco Australia tour, first set for 2 to 4 October 2026, has been postponed to early next year. His website now lists Perth, Melbourne and Sydney on 12, 13 and 14 March.
- Still unconfirmed: an official attendance figure or sell-out statement from the venue or promoter.
