Burna Boy booked for Apple Music Hall London Oct 29 and NFL Paris halftime Oct 25

Burna Boy is booked for Apple Music Hall at Battersea Power Station in London on 29 October 2026 as part of the venue’s inaugural programme — and, days earlier, he headlines the NFL Paris Game halftime show at Stade de France on 25 October. Here is what Apple, the NFL and trade press have actually confirmed, without overclaiming branding language.

What we know
- Apple Music Hall date (FACT). The venue’s own ticket page lists Burna Boy on 29 October 2026, doors 6:30 p.m., at the 600-capacity hall inside Battersea Power Station. Variety (25 Sep 2026) placed him in the inaugural lineup with Elton John, Charli xcx, Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks and Chase & Status. Shows are also to be livestreamed on Apple Music.
- “First African” wording. Among artists announced for that opening programme, Burna Boy is currently the first African artist scheduled. Apple’s own Variety-reported announcement did not use an official “first African artist” marketing line in the coverage we reviewed; secondary outlets have used that framing. We state the scheduling fact, not an Apple slogan.
- NFL Paris Game (FACT, NFL.com). The NFL announced Burna Boy will headline halftime at the 2026 NFL Paris Game — Pittsburgh Steelers vs New Orleans Saints — on Sunday 25 October at Stade de France (2:30 p.m. CEST / 9:30 a.m. ET). It is part of a record seven international-game halftime shows in 2026.
Apple Music Hall: intimate room, arena infrastructure
Variety describes a state-of-the-art 600-capacity room designed so every seat feels close to the performer, with a reconfigurable stage, spatial sound, on-site studios and multi-camera broadcast capability. Elton John opened the venue on 28 September 2026. Communion One is the independent UK promoter partner. Tickets for early shows went through Dice.
For Burna Boy, the booking sits beside other recent UK and global milestones covered on this site — including Young Jonn’s OVO Arena Wembley date and our report on Burna Boy and Tems at the 2026 VMAs. Background on the genre’s naming debates is in Afrobeats vs Afrobeat explained.
NFL Paris: return to Stade de France
The NFL’s announcement notes Burna Boy was the first African artist to headline Stade de France (April 2025) and frames the Paris Game as France’s first NFL regular-season game. Burna Boy is quoted saying Paris gave him one of the biggest nights of his career and that returning for this moment means representing African music on a global broadcast. Tim Tubito of the NFL praised the fit for a cultural capital where African music is heavily listened to.
Other 2026 international halftime names already announced by the NFL include the Jonas Brothers (Melbourne), Pedro Sampaio and Ricky Martin (Rio), Ayra Starr (London, 11 Oct), Cage The Elephant (Munich) and The Warning (Mexico City). French free-to-air and sports partners will carry the Paris entertainment, per the NFL release.
Two big October nights — what they are not
These are confirmed bookings from Apple Music Hall / Variety and NFL.com. They are not the same as a stadium tour announcement, and they are separate from unverified social-media chatter (we are not covering the weakly sourced Burna Boy–IGP meeting rumours). Streaming economics for Afrobeats acts remain a separate beat — see how Spotify royalties work and Nigerian Grammy winners history.
How the inaugural lineup stacks up
Variety’s 25 September report is the cleanest trade confirmation: Elton John opens; Charli xcx, Burna Boy, Baby Keem, Skye Newman, Troye Sivan, Arlo Parks and Chase & Status fill the rest of the announced 2026 runway. Looking at that list as published, Burna Boy is the only African headliner named so far. That is a scheduling observation from the announced programme, not a quote from an Apple press release calling him “the first African.” Secondary blogs that paste the slogan without sourcing Apple are why we draw the line carefully.
Capacity is part of the story. At roughly 600 guests, Apple Music Hall is closer to a club residency than to London Stadium, where Burna previously played an Apple Music Live show (referenced on the venue’s own artist blurb). The point of the room, Apple and Communion One argue, is intimacy plus broadcast infrastructure — every show built to stream globally on Apple Music. For Afrobeats fans who cannot fly to Battersea, the livestream clause may matter as much as the guest list.
Pairing the 25 October NFL Paris date with the 29 October London room creates a four-day European stretch at two very different scales: a national-stadium football halftime and a 600-cap technologically dense hall. The NFL release already places Ayra Starr on the London NFL game on 11 October, so African artists are visible across the league’s 2026 international entertainment slate without needing hype beyond the primary announcements.
